NAHAM offers two certification programs that serve Patient Access professionals at different levels of their careers. Use the chart below to discover the certification path that is right for your needs.You can also find information about our different certifications in the Certification Manual

Job Title: Manager-level or above individuals

 

Job Title: Associate-level individuals

Professional Experience: Two (2) years management experience in the healthcare or finance industry

 

Professional Experience: One (1) year in healthcare or finance industry or successful completion of an accredited college program in healthcare

 

 

References: Signature of one (1) supervisor or course instructor/adviser and one (1) CHAM certified individual

References: Signature of one (1) supervisor or course instructor/advisor

 

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent plus 90 professional development contact hours earned within the past three (3) years; or a four-year degree from an accredited institution in healthcare, business, or related field

 

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent plus 30 professional development contact hours earned within the previous two (2) years; or an associate degree from an accredited institution
