Conference Buddy Network

NAHAM will once again be offering the NAHAM Conference Buddy Network. The completely optional Buddy Network will assist with connecting first-time attendees with an experienced attendee at the upcoming 42nd Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. The program is designed to extend a warm and hearty welcome to new members or those attending our conference for the first time by pairing them with experienced attendees to help "break the ice" and demystify the conference in both the social and professional realm.

The Buddy Network offers a simple and informal means for veteran attendees to welcome and connect with newer conference participants – and to open a door or two for additional social and professional interaction. Some ways the conference buddy might assist the newer attendee include:

  • Being a friendly and supportive contact shortly before, during, and even after the conference
  • Answering questions about the structure of NAHAM, the educational activities at the conference (learning labs, keynote sessions, Industry Sponsored Symposia, etc.)
  • Visiting the exhibits together and making introductions to exhibitors and other attendees
  • Attending the receptions together
  • Or enjoying the attractions in New Orleans during free time.

Please fill out the form below to participate in this optional program; we ask that forms be completed by COB on Tuesday, April 17. Buddies will be paired up by Thursday, April 19 via email; buddies should touch base prior to travelling to the conference to arrange to meet up on site.

Select "Mentor" if you are a veteran conference attendee and NAHAM member who would like to serve as a mentor to a new member or first timer who would like to participate in the Buddy Network.

Select "Mentee" if you are a new NAHAM member or first timer who would like to participate in the Buddy Network.
