The National Association of Healthcare Access Management is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2016 Board of Directors.
The Call for Nominations is now open and we are seeking candidates for the open positions of Treasurer and Vice President.
Service on the Board of Directors of NAHAM in an officer position is a rare chance to help drive the decisions of our highly-respected national association and shape the future of patient access. The opportunity to work with other leaders in NAHAM allows you to be on the cutting edge of patient access concerns and to be part of the decision making process on the national level, driving the strategic goals or the organization. This is an exciting time to join the leadership of NAHAM and help us map our ambitious future.
Board service is a chance to grow personally and professionally, to develop skills, gain unique experience and make lasting connections with a team of other passionate and motivated professionals. NAHAM has a dedicated staff in Washington, DC who make the board's job as fulfilling as possible. They take care of managing NAHAM day-to-day enabling the board to focus on matters of strategic importance which can help improve our programs and services that we offer to our members. Board service also provides these unique opportunities:
- Develop valuable skills in non-profit governance, program planning and strategic planning
- Expand your network of professional contacts
- Gain recognition from your employer, community, or peers
The NAHAM Vice President serves on the board for a total of six years (two as Vice President, two as President, and two as Past President). The term of office for Treasurer is four years with a limit of just one term. Please take the duration of these commitments into consideration as you read through all accompanying material.

Candidates must meet a professional standard of excellence by demonstrating the following:
- Hold the Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) credential
- Hold active membership in NAHAM
- Be willing to accept a leadership role for the future of our national, professional organization
- Have time to dedicate to fulfilling their responsibilities.
Help lead your national association and profession into the future by nominating a colleague or yourself for the positions of Vice President or Secretary. The Call for Nominations closes on February 26 and the election concludes in April.
