What drew you to the NAHAM credential program?
I became credentialed in 2004. The study guide was extensive and I found the exam to be in depth and thoroughly covering Patient Access.

The people. Everyone is helpful. There is a strong communication and forum to reach out to others, share processes and insights that can help all of us become more efficient in what we do.

Patient Access has really evolved over the last few years and the department has taken on many more responsibilities. The regulations and the job are constantly changing. Increased knowledge, being viewed as a professional and tied to career ladders that are coupled to pay.
