Frequently Asked Membership Questions
Membership dues statements are mailed to current members each fall for the following year. Your timely payment means you won't miss a beat when it comes to discounted rates on NAHAM products, annual meeting registration and other member benefits. 

As a member convenience, we've listed below some commonly asked questions and answers. If you have any other questions, please telephone Membership Services at (202) 367-1125.

What period does my dues payment cover?

NAHAM's membership year follows our fiscal year:  January 1 - December 31.
  • Newly joining members who join in January through June pay the full annual dues amount.
  • Newly joining members who join in July, August, or September pay one half of the annual dues amount.
  •  Newly joining members who join in October, November or December pay the full annual dues amount but their membership expiration date is December 31 of the following year.
Are my NAHAM annual dues tax deductible?

Dues to NAHAM are not deductible as a charitable contribution but may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Please consult your tax advisor.

When should I pay my annual dues?

Dues should be paid as soon as possible to assure continuance of membership benefits without interruption. If unpaid after 60 days, a member will be dropped and member benefits will be suspended. If paying by credit card you can renew online.

How do I submit a new address and/or e-mail?

Simply update your profile directly on this web site.

What if I no longer wish to remain a member? Can I just ignore the statement?

We request that you "actively resign" by sending in a letter of resignation with your invoice within 60 days of the first billing or e-mail us. Please indicate the reason for ending your membership with NAHAM.

What form of payment does NAHAM accept?

You can pay your dues with a personal check, business check, money order, MasterCard or Visa. No other credit cards are accepted.
