Audit

When submitting your application for the Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) exam, it is important to note that you may be audited. As stated in the National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) Candidate Guide to Certification, NAHAM randomly audits 10% of our applicants for each certification period for quality assurance purposes.

For the CHAM Examination, you will be audited for the following information:

Contact information for employer

2)
A or B

A) High school diploma or GED equivalent plus 90 contact hours earned within the past three (3) years;

A) Copy of High School Diploma or GED Certificate and 90 contact hours from organization (either written out of a printed copy from Education/training dept.)

B) Copy of Degree or transcript

Failure to provide this documentation by the requested date will exclude you from testing during this period and application fees will not be refunded.

NAHAM staff will contact you following review of your documentation and prior to your testing date to confirm that you have met the eligibility requirements for the exam.

Proctor Information

All NAHAM examinations must be proctored. All proctors must work in the healthcare industry, be in a management role, and cannot directly supervise any candidates taking the examination. You will determine your testing date, time and location with your designated proctor. For additional questions about identifying a proctor, please contact us at info@naham.org.

Having trouble finding a proctor? Search our Proctor Database to find someone in your area! Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of NAHAM proctors; these are individuals who have volunteered their information to prospective candidates. They are not required to proctor exams.

Contact your regional delegate if you are still experiencing difficulties finding a proctor in your area!

Want to Reschedule Your Exam?

In order to change your examination testing window, you must submit an Examination Date Change form to NAHAM prior to the end of the current testing window. There is a $50 fee to switch testing windows; NAHAM will contact you with payment instructions once the above form has been submitted.

Need to Retake the Exam?

If you do not pass the examination on your initial attempt, you may re-take the examination at the $50 fee in the next consecutive testing window (please reference the CHAM Exam Information Page for testing windows and deadlines). You may re-take the exam as many times as you would like, however, the $50 re-take fee only applies if you have previously paid $175 ( NAHAM Member price) or $350 (NAHAM Non-member price).

At the end of each testing window, NAHAM will send out an email with the discount voucher code to all those that qualify. Please log-in to your dashboard on Certification Central and create a new application - you will enter the discount code during the payment portion of your application.

You may pay online with a credit card right away, or you may select "Submit without Payment" and send a check at a later date.

NAHAM Audits 10% of all its applicants for quality assurance purposes. Please reference the eligibility requirements in the Candidate Guide to Certification for additional audit information.
