Access Management Journal

The Access Management Journal is the official journal of The National Association of Healthcare Access Management. It is a means for expressing ideas on a wide range of contemporary healthcare access matters in a concise, reader friendly format which administrators and support staff find useful. It also contains regular columns written by leaders in the field that discuss other timely topics such as leadership and managed care. Issues also contain case studies and book reviews.

The NAHAM Access Management Journal welcomes news, articles and story ideas from members, other association bodies, and other writers. The Journal is a tool for NAHAM members to share ideas and experiences with one another and to learn about trends and developments in the field. It also serves as a vehicle to communicate to the outside world who we are and what we’re about. As the core strength of NAHAM is the talent and experience of its members, the editorial board seeks to showcase that strength in each issue. Healthcare Access Associate Manual

The Healthcare Access Associate Training Manual manual covers a variety of topics that are essential in the orientation and development of front-end staff and includes a course outline that may assist with course layout and preparation time. There is also a small quiz at the end of each section. An sample orientation checklist is included near the end of the manual.  This resource may also help in the preparation of staff to take the NAHAM Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Examination.
