Step 1:   Thoroughly review the Candidate Guide to Certification

  • It is the responsibility of the candidate to read the entire contents of this Guide before applying for the examination.  
  • It is the responsibility of the candidate to know of all deadlines associated with the certification process.  Late registrations are not accepted.  
  • Remember - your examination date may be any day during one of the four testing months.  NAHAM does not offer specific testing dates; it is a date chosen by you and your proctor.
  • It is the responsibility of the candidate to identify and confirm a qualified proctor.  NAHAM does not arrange proctors for examination candidates. 
  • Official testing months are January, April, July and October.  Some NAHAM Affiliates may offer the paper/pencil version at their spring and fall meetings.  NAHAM offers the paper/pencil examination at the NAHAM Annual Educational Conference.
  • It is the responsibility of the candidate to understand the Certification Maintenance program and applicable deadlines to keep his or her certification active.

The application deadline for the July 2010 testing period is now closed. The deadline for the October 2010 testing period is August 31, 2010.
