Announces the formation of a Women in Patient Access Committee
Colorado Springs, Colo., July 27, 2016 – The Colorado Association of Healthcare Access Management (COHAM) is proud to announce the formation of the first Women in Patient Access Committee, which was created to provide a platform for collaboration and mentoring opportunities for women.
The mission of the committee is to promote the empowerment of women within Patient Access by providing leadership development opportunities. “Women have always played a key role in Patient Access, performing the key function of registering patients while also providing the human interaction that makes patients feel at ease,” says Joan Whittaker, Solutions Consultant, AccuReg Software.
The following are the founding members of the Women in Patient Access Committee:

The first meeting sponsored by the Women in Patient Access Committee will be held Wednesday, August 10, 6 p.m. at Cielo at Castle Pines and will feature Angela L. Cox, Vice President of Revenue Management, Centura Health, speaking about her experiences navigating a path to leadership in the healthcare industry. A networking cheese and wine hour will be followed by dinner and keynote speech.
