NAHAM Patient Access Week
Memo to Marketing/Communication Department
Celebrating Patient Access: The face of the patient experience
April 3 – 9, 2016
Patient Access Week is a great time to maximize publicity for your department's special activities. By coordinating with your Marketing/Communication Department you can expand the scope of your celebration and insure organization and local attention is given to your team.
A memo to your internal Marketing/Communication Department is an excellent first step in broadening the scope of recognition for your team. It is important to make contact with the marketing department early in the planning process so they can assist in issuing press releases, publishing newsletter articles, and providing support for your organizational activities.
Invite your marketing department to visit the NAHAM website to gain a better understanding of the networking and educational resources offered by NAHAM.
A sample memo is provided below to assist you in your Patient Access Week planning.

Subject: Patient Access Week Celebration
Patient Access Week, sponsored by the National Association Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM), takes place April 3 – 9, 2016. Patient Access Week provides the perfect opportunity to enhance guest relations, increase hospital morale and improve communications. This year's theme, "Celebrating Patient Access – The Face of the Patient Experience" compliments this organizations commitment to providing an optimal patient experience by recognizing the contribution of our patient access team within the patient experience continuum.
NAHAM has great ideas for recognition programs and promotional activities. We would like your support and expertise in promoting our special events:
--Insert list of planned activities
--Insert list of specific things needed from the marketing department.
